Gussing Renewable Energy GmbH, Austria (GRE) acquired a state-of-the-art breakthrough gasification technology from the Technical University of Vienna (TUV) and successfully demonstrated “Fast Internally Circulating Dual Fluidized Bed Steam Gasification” (DFB) technology. GRE operated one such plant of 4 MW capacity for 10 years in Austria for selling of power and heat for district heating to a community since 2004.

To disseminate the technology and to make India as its manufacturing hub, GRE joined hands with GP Energy in equity and transferred the world-class technology in 2012.

GP Energy successfully designed, manufactured and exported DFB Gasification plants to Thailand, Japan and South Korea.
